About Us

Tru Position Automation is a company that seeks to design and manufacture automated and semi-automated secondary equipment.  We have recognized a need for a knowledgeable, reliable and economical source of equipment and strive to fill that need.  Gunar Myers and David Barthuly, co-owners, have over fifty years of experience in the plastics, machine shop and aerospace industries.  We would like to use this experience to help you with your automation projects.

We use 3D cad for design and can present design concepts for your approval before we begin construction of your automation projects.  In our shop we have equipment for fabrication (cutting, welding, punching) and manual and NC machining.  We have also established a network of vendors that we use if we cannot fit the jobs on our existing machinery.

Gunar Myers has a varied background working in  aerospace and plastic industries. Gunar attended Cowley College and has experience in welding, machining, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

David Barthuly earned an Industrial Engineering degree from Kansas State University and his career has been in the manufacturing side of the plastic and aerospace industries.  He has spent the majority of his career supporting production by designing and maintaining various types of equipment.
