A local aerospace company asked us to design a way to load water tanks into one of their experimental planes. The concept that we proposed and built was a lift table with a track system that held a cart that cradled the water tank. The water tank is loaded onto the cart when the lift table is at floor level. The table and tank is then lifted via a manual winch to door level. The cart is then pushed into position and attached to the track system that is positioned inside the cabin of the plane. The cart with the tank is then pushed along the track system into the cabin of the plane.
